Rectangular Vase with Nude by Edouard Cazaux

This stunning ceramic vase has a raised nude on the front and backside. It is signed on the underside and in excellent condition. Eduard Cazaux came from a family of ceramicists and went on to study at I’école des Beaux-Arts and at l’école de Sèvres. He was known for using vibrant colors, simple forms and beautiful hand-painted decorations. Cazaux received the Legion of Honor award in 1937. His works are in the collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Museum of Saint Maur and The MET.
