Proud Loneliness Black Granite Sculpture by Masayuki Nagare

This sculpture was created in 1965. It is pictured in his monograph “MASAYUKI NAGARE The Life of a Samurai Artist from 1994. His large sculptures include Cloud Fortress, which survived the 9/11 attacks at the World Trade Center (New York City) but was destroyed in the rescue and recovery efforts. This sculpture is incised “Nagare” along back lower edge. It is raised on round white plinth with a plaque. His studio is now a Museum in Japan with 130 works displayed.
