Mosaic Pitcher and Cups by Salvador Teran

This set was handmade in Taxco, Mexico in the 1950’s by Salvador Teran. It is brass with glass mosaic tiles. The cups have mosaic jaguars on them. Salvador Teran was trained in William Spratling’s workshop before he opened his own studio where he created futuristic silver jewelry for men and women. He also created serving pieces, wall hanging pictures, boxes and trays with glass mosaic pictures. The size of the cups is 3.125 inches ( 7.94 cm) diameter and 3 in. ( 7.62 cm) tall.
